this album includes pictures of the process to make our 2011 Grassroots motorsports 2011 challenge car. The rules for the challenge require teams to make race cars with a maximum build cost of $2011. the cars compete in autocross, drag strip, and concourse events. our build began with a 1979 fiat spider convertible. the original 4 cylinder motor was removed so that a 4 liter v6 could be stuffed in. the body required extensive repairs (thats what you get for a $500 car!) and alterations to fit he new motor.
